COVID-19: ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

Day 1: Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya!

Upon your arrival at Nairobi Airport, off your International flight, you be met by a masked representative and assisted through customs and immigration whilst following the necessary social distancing and COVID health & safety protocols.  Collect your luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will meet your masked Africa Inscribed Private Guiding Host who will assist you onto a fully sanitised vehicle for your private transfer to the hotel (approx. 40 to 60 minutes by private road transfer – depending on traffic).

On arrival, you will be required to complete check in procedures which will include (but not limited to) sanitising procedures, guest temperatures being taken and filling out of track and trace forms.  

Spend the evening at leisure.

Please note the following COVID-19 protocols will be exercised during your stay: Guest temperature will be taken on arrival, daily and on departure; luggage will be sanitised before being taken to the rooms; staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival at work with comprehensive sanitation in place and staff will be wearing a mask.  All transfer vehicles will carry disinfectant and hand sanitiser.

Day 2: Nairobi

After a hearty breakfast you will meet your local guide in the hotel lobby for a full day touring in and around Nairobi. This may include the Karen Blixen Museum, the Giraffe Center, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and some time spent shopping for local crafts and souvenirs.

Lunch may be enjoyed en route (for own account).

Days 3 - 6: Masai Mara

After breakfast and a fond farewell to your hosts you transfer to Nairobi's Wilson Airport for a scheduled light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara and Bateleur Camp.

Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be warmly welcomed by your local ranger and transferred to the camp.

After you have settled in and enjoyed a light lunch you will depart with other guests on a late afternoon game drive.

Your days here will be spent on early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of Africa's famous wildlife shared with other guests.

Days 7 - 9: Chyulu Hills National Park

At a time advised by your camp hosts, you return to the airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft flight back to Wilson Airport where you will be met and assisted onto a scheduled light aircraft flight to Ol Donyo airstrip.

Upon your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the lodge.

Once at the lodge, settle into your suites prior to departing on an afternoon wildlife activity.

You time here will be spent enjoy an arrange of activities available which includes Game Drives, Guided Walks, Horseback Riding and Mountain Biking to name a few.

Days 10 - 12: Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy

This morning after the morning activity and breakfast, you return to the aircraft for a return flight to Wilson Airport where you will connecting onto a scheduled light aircraft flight to Sarara Camp.

Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the camp to settle in and enjoy lunch. This afternoon you will enjoy a late afternoon wildlife activity.

Your time here will be spent with a local Samburu guide and park ranger exploring this unique and untouched piece of Kenya on a number of activities such as game drives Camel Trekking or nature walks.

Optional extra activities include a visit to a genuine Samburu settlement for an insight into this semi nomadic tribe, horse riding for the experienced or a visit to the Reteti Elephant Orphanage and rehabilitation center.

Days 13 - 15: Lewa Conservancy

At a time advised by your camp hosts, you return to the airstrip for a scheduled light aircraft flight to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of Sirikoi Camp.

Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be warmly welcomed by your local ranger and transferred to the camp.

After you have settled in and enjoyed a light lunch you will depart with other guests on a late afternoon game drive.

Your days here will be spent on early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of Africa's famous wildlife. Alternatively, you may explore on foot in the company of a qualified ranger. You may choose to watch wildlife pass by from one of the Lewa hides or simply laze in a leather chair on the Sirikoi deck overlooking the busy waterhole and the wildlife on the lawns.

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is particularly popular for it's endangered species such as reticulated giraffe, black and white rhino, and the largest resident population of Grevy’s zebra in the world.

During your stay at Sirikoi, you are encouraged to explore the "behind the scenes" operations for a glimpse into what Lewa is doing to support conservation, anti-poaching operations and the surrounding communities. This includes visiting the operations room, tracking dog unit, meeting the secure or anti-poaching team and visiting the Lewa school and clinic.

For the more adventurous at heart, you may opt to horse ride across the plains amongst the wildlife, go walk the canopy bridge and perhaps dive into the blue glacial pools in the Ngare Ndare Forest.

Various option and very exciting helicopter excursions may be arranged from here to see the Samburu and Pokot tribes of the Northern Kenya and lost but not least, a quad biking safari may be an option here too.

Day 16: End of Itinerary

Enjoy the morning at the camp on your final game drive and breakfast thereafter.

Late morning, you depart for the airstrip and a light aircraft shuttle flight to Wilson airport where you will be met and privately transferred to Jomo Kenyatta Airport where you will be assisted with checking in for a scheduled flight homeward bound.

Return home from an unforgettable African safari.
